Rell Rtencie Main died on 16 August 1967 at Riverside County, California, at age 74. He was buried on 21 August 1967 at Desert Memorial Park, Palm Springs Cemetery District, Riverside County, California.
     Rell Rtencie Main had no children. Veteran of WW I. He was Chief of Police in Silverton, Oregon.
