     Asa Nye was born circa 1816 at Ohio. He died at Vera Cruz, Mexico; died of Yellow Fever. Left no family.
     Asa Nye served in the Mexican War; rank: Orderly Sergeant. He was a teacher.

     Thomas Nye was born in 1836 at Ohio. He married Margaret Kennedy in 1855. Thomas Nye died on 1 March 1873.
     Thomas Nye appeared on the census of 11 August 1860 at Dwelling 1999; Page 119, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California; is age 24, married to Margaret, and he is working as a teamster. Three children are with them. They are with John, the brother of Thomas.

     Jones Nye was born on 17 February 1832 at Ohio. He married Lucy Emmatine Lynch, daughter of Patrick Lynch and Catherine Wright, on 23 March 1860. Jones Nye died on 3 March 1915 at Harristown, Macon County, Illinois, at age 83.

Four children are with them Living with them is George Nye, age 27 born in Ohio. They have a servant, May Hendrick, age 15. He appeared on the census of 16 June 1880 at S.D.5; E.D. 158; Sheet 25 A, Harristown Township, Macon County, Illinois; is age 47, married to Lucy and he is farming. Three children are with them. The mother of Lucy, Catherine Lynch age 76 is living with them. He appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 at S.D.11; E.D.58; Sheet 18 B, Illini Township, Macon County, Illinois; is age 68, has been married 40 years to Lucy. They have had 4 children, 2 are living. He appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at S.D.10; E.D.124; Sheet 8 B, Illini Township, Macon County, Illinois; is age 78, married to Lucy and they are living with their son Charles.

     Sophia L. Clark was born on 6 April 1810. She married Michael Nye, son of John Nye and Agnes Jones, on 3 March 1829. Sophia L. Clark died on 9 August 1833 at age 23.

     Elizabeth Kimes was born on 7 March 1816 at Dauphin, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. She married Michael Nye, son of John Nye and Agnes Jones, on 3 March 1835. Elizabeth Kimes died on 3 May 1900 at age 84.
     Elizabeth Kimes appeared on the census of 29 July 1850 at Dwelling 6 (298), Prairie Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 34 and widowed. Six children are with her. She appeared on the census of 14 August 1860 at Page 167; Household 1045, Prairie Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 44, and is widowed. Six children are with her. She appeared on the census of 22 August 1870 at Page 16; Household 104, Prairie Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 54, apparently widowed and is keeping house. Living with her are her children, Rowan and Mary. She appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at S.D.5; E.D.103; Sheet 6 B, Bourban Township, Marshall County, Indiana; is age 64, and living with her son Rowan. Her daughter Mary and her husband are with them.

     John Jay Nye was born on 2 January 1832 at Ohio. He married Olive J. Stinson, daughter of John Kist and Nancy P. Marshall, on 25 May 1871 at Kosciusko County, Indiana; is found in Book D; Page 424. John Jay Nye died in 1911 at Lincoln County, Oregon. He was buried in 1911 at Eureka Pioneer Cemetery, Newport, Lincoln County, Oregon; has a military marker. He was in the Civil War in Company A 1st Infantry Regiment Oregon Volunteers.

They have had 8 children, 7 are living. He appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 at S.D.1; E.D.173; Sheet 9 B, Newport, Lincoln County, Oregon; is age 78, married to Olive and is farming his own land.

     Agnes Nye was born on 18 July 1833 at Ohio. She married Robert Michael Thompson, son of Robert Thompson and Elsie Panley, on 1 January 1855.
     Agnes Nye appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 at S.D.220; E.D.1; Sheet 1 B, Corvallis Precinct 4, Benton County, Oregon; is age 66, widowed and she is farming. Her daughter Estella and children are listed with her, but I find Estella and her children, in another household one day later, listed with Estella's husband, Adolph Peterson.

     Omar Nye was born on 6 October 1836 at Indiana. He died after 1850; may have died November 2.

     George Nye was born on 8 December 1837 at Indiana. He died on 24 September 1838.

     Jasper Nye was born on 6 October 1839 at Indiana. He married Sarah E. Reese, daughter of Thomas Reese and Sarah Amos, on 5 March 1868 at Marion County, Iowa. Jasper Nye died on 27 February 1924 at age 84. He was buried after 27 February 1924 at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa.

They have 2 children with them. Six children are with them. Sarah Reese, the mother of Sarah is with them. Sarah has had 9 children, 7 are living. Two children, Beatrice and Carl, are with them . He appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 at S.D.7 & E.D.47; Sheet 16 A, Knoxville Township, Marion County, Iowa; is age 72, married to Sarah and he is working as a surveyor for the county. Daughter, Mable, and a granddaughter, Fay Grenn, age 18 are living with them. He appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 at S.D.7; E.D.49; Sheet 5 A, Knoxville City, Marion County, Iowa; is age 80, married to Sarah and he is a surveyor for the county. Daughter Mable is living with them.

     Rowan Nye was born on 1 May 1845 at Indiana. He married Lillian Bell Stewart, daughter of Thomas C. Stewart and Serapta Jane Phillips, on 12 April 1899.
     Rowan Nye appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at S.D.5; E.D.103; Sheet 6 B, Bourban, Marshall County, Indiana; is age 35, widowed and he is farming. His mother Elizabeth and his sister Mary and husband George Birch are with him. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at S.D.13; E.D.68; Sheet 3 B, Bourban Township, Marshall County, Indiana; is age 55, and married to Lillie. He appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at S.D.13; E.D.97; Sheet 1 A, Bourban Township, Marshall County, Indiana; is age 64, has been married 11 years to Lillie, and he is farming. They have had 3 children all living.

     Michael N. Nye was born on 17 February 1847 at Indiana. He married Elizabeth Patterson, daughter of Charles Patterson and Elizabeth Humphrey, on 2 August 1874.
     Michael N. Nye appeared on the census of 14 June 1880 at S.D.3; E.D.203; Page 11, Leota Township, Norton County, Kansas; is age 33, married to Eliza and no occupation is listed for Michael. They have 3 children living with them. He appeared on the census of 23 June 1900 at S.D.43; E.D.90; Sheet 7 A, Mason Precinct, Nez Perce County, Idaho; is age 53, married to Eliza Ann and he is farming. They have had 4 children all living. He appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 at S.D.3; E.D.159; Sheet 3 A, Spokane, Spokane County, Washington; is age 63 married to Eliza, and has his own income. They are lving with Zoe and her husband Silas Yarnell.

     Elizabeth Ann Sample was born in 1808 at Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She married Ludlow Nye, son of John Nye and Agnes Jones, in 1828. Elizabeth Ann Sample died in 1846.

     Mary Ann Nye was born circa 1829.
     Mary Ann Nye appeared on the census of 10 September 1850 at Household 8, Leesburgh Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 22 and living with John and Hannah Blain.

     John Resner Nye was born circa 1830.

     Henry Clay Nye was born on 27 August 1839; may have been born in 1840.
     Henry Clay Nye appeared on the census of 31 August 1850 at Dwelling - household 106 & 109, Tippecanoe Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 10, and is living with William & Ann Kirpatrick.

     Daniel Webster Nye was born on 27 August 1839 at Indiana; may have been born in 1840 or 1841. The "Ancestors of Andrew Nye" file has Daniel and Henry as twins. The censuses don't bear this out. He married Sarah E Haynes, daughter of John Haynes and Elizabeth Ressler, on 23 October 1864. Daniel Webster Nye died on 30 July 1919 at Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana, at age 79. He was buried after 30 July 1919 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana.

Living with them are 3 children and Mary McFadden, age 83, the grandmother of Daniel. He appeared on the census of 17 June 1880 at S.D.6; E.D.63; Page 25 A (292), Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 40, married to Sarah, and he is working as a marble cutter. Five children are with them. He appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at S.D.13; E.D.66; Sheet 3 A, Wayne Township - Warsaw City, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 60, married to Sarah, and he is working as a laborer. Sarah has had 5 children, only 1 is living. (This is incorrect, as 4 children are living.) Their son, Frank, and his wife are with them. He appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 at S.D.13; E.D.93; Sheet 1 B, Wayne Township - Warsaw City, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 70, has been married 46 years to Sarah, and he has his own income. Sarah has had 5 children, only 4 are living. A grandson, Raymond McArthur, is with them.

     Mary Ellen Foster was born in July 1850 at Pennsylvania. She married Jordan Nye, son of Sampson Stilly Nye and Ruth Piersol, circa 1869.

     Valley Anna 'Annie' Nye was born in March 1870 at Homewood, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

     William Spencer Nye was born on 13 June 1873 at Homewood, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

     Roy Nye was born on 1 January 1888 at Homewood, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. He married Bertha Huettner, daughter of Johann Huettner and Doris Brandt, on 3 June 1930. Roy Nye died in 1948. He was buried in 1948 at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Franklin Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; I have picture of grave marker.

     Glen Nye was born in January 1893 at Homewood, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

     James Nye was born circa 1875 at Homewood, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
     James Nye was also known as Ralph Nye.

     Agnes Nye was born in 1832 at Indiana. She died on 20 December 1863.
     Agnes Nye appeared on the census of 10 September 1850 at Household 9, Leesburgh Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana; is age 18 and living with John & Hannah Blain.

     Sarah H. McColough was born in 1810 at Pennsylvania. She married Jacob Nye, son of John Nye and Agnes Jones, in 1833. Sarah H. McColough died in 1867. She was buried in 1867 at Union Cemetery, Whitmore Township (Decatur), Macon County, Illinois.

     Albert W. Nye was born circa 1850 at Ohio.
     Albert W. Nye appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 at Dwelling 168; Page 140, Decatur Township, Macon County, Illinois; is age 20, working as a farm hand and living with his father Jacob.

     George M. Nye was born on 20 October 1845 at Ohio. He married Lucinda Reichlager before 1878. George M. Nye died on 24 January 1929 at age 83. He was buried after 24 January 1929 at Soldiers Cemetery, Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa.
     George M. Nye began military service on 22 August 1862 at Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana, enlisted in Co. C 4th Indiana Cavalry. He ended military service on 29 June 1865 at Edgefield, Davidson County, Tennessee. He appeared on the census of 10 July 1870 at Page 1; Household 5, Harristown, Macon County, Illinois; is age 27, is living with his uncle Jones and working on the farm. George is found living with his father in a later census this same year. He appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 at Dwelling 168; Page 140, Decatur Township, Macon County, Illinois; is age 28, and farming. George is found living with his uncle, Jones Nye in an earlier 1870 census. He appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 at S.D.5; E.D.131; Sheet 4 B, Linn Township-Second Precinct, Marshall County, Iowa; is age 66, widowed and is living in the Iowa Soldiers Home. He appeared on the census of 12 January 1920 at S.D.5; E.D.155, Sheet 9 A, Linn, Marshall County, Iowa; is age 74, widowed and is living in the Iowa Soldiers Home. This age is incorrect.

     Louisa Nye was born in 1847 at Ohio. She married Jesse W. Hanks on 3 January 1882 at Macon County, Illinois. Louisa Nye married David Sweazy on 1 March 1899 at Christian County, Illinois. Louisa Nye died in 1916. She was buried in 1916 at Union Cemetery, Whitmore Township (Decatur), Macon County, Illinois.
     Louisa Nye appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 at S.D.13; E.D.78; Sheet 8 B, Liberty Township, Effingham County, Illinois; is listed as age 50, has been married 2 years to David Sweazy, age 66, and David is farming. If this is our Louisa, the birth date for her is incorrect, as is the place of birth. She appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 at S.D.16; E.D.127; Sheet 11 B, Anna, Union County, Illinois; is age 63, has been married twice and this marriage has been 12 years. She is living in the Anna State Hospital.

     Lucetta Nye was born in February 1854 at Ohio. She married John N. Hill on 7 July 1874 at Macon County, Illinois. Lucetta Nye died before 1910.

     Polly Tusing was born after 1820. She married Newton Nye, son of John Nye and Agnes Jones, circa 1840. Polly Tusing died before 1850.
