If,  while searching the genealogy,  you find that I have the picture of a grave marker, chances are, it will be on the site.  Please click on either cemetery button on any page and it will take you to the cemetery index.  There you can click on the button with the name of the cemetery you wish to see.  It will take you to the page where you will find the picture of the marker. 

The foundation for the data found here on our Nye family came from "Genealogy of Descendants of Andrew Nye" compiled by: Andrew Avory Nye III, John A.  Nye and Alice Matheny Pappas, date: 1938.  We also have data taken from the 1995 updated version compiled by Delmar A. Wiley, Roy A. Baney, Jessie Swogger Davis and Henrietta Nye Booher.   What a wonderful legacy they left for all of us.   Some of the dates were hard to read in my copy of the original "Andrew Nye" file.   I have done a lot of my own research in censuses, birth records, death indexes, World War I registrations,  and cemeteries.   If you find errors, or if you can add to what we have, please email.

Several new found cousins who have found the Web site have been very generous in sharing their personal knowledge, their pictures, obituaries and other things to help make our Nye history complete. Thank you all!!
