Petty Highland Cemetery is secluded behind a cornfield in Pike County, Illinois. It is very run down and cattle roam freely. Many of the stones are broken and some have either fallen or been pushed over. I fear that in a few years this cemetery will be inaccessible to the public.

Our guys picked up the pieces of Andrew and Lutilia's markers, which for the most part were not broken. The bases were still in place but the middle and top parts were apart and laying at the base. With great effort they placed them back together. We now hope the markers won't be pushed over or broken. Lutilia's marker already has a chunk missing that we were unable to locate.

We were able to piece together the broken pieces of Rufus and Henry's stones. I am thankful we now have pictures of them.

It was hard to get good pictures because the cemetery is covered with trees. The lighting at the time of day we finally found the cemetery was not conducive in allowing good pictures.
